British/Iranian artist Parisa has been singing since she was a child and graduated from The Musical Theatre Academy (London) in 2014.
She began writing music seriously whilst on tour with Mamma Mia, her first professional job upon graduating, in 2015 and has been writing and releasing her own music ever since.
In 2020, she wrote and released her first album, Working From Home, a collection of 29 songs written and recorded on her bedroom floor in the 29 days of February. The album was released in April 2020 and peaked at No1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Charts.
Parisa began crossing over into writing for theatre whilst in rehearsals for Fisherman's Friends. During the development run of the show, a song penned by Parisa called The Tidal Pool, was heard by the creative team and subsequently added into the production for the 22-23 UK/Canada Tour. The song now features on the Original Cast Recording released in 2023 through Mighty Village (Island Records UK.)
Parisa began writing her first original musical, Medusa, in March 2023 whilst on tour with Fisherman’s Friends. In June 2024, Medusa was selected as 1 of 8 shows to be featured in New York at NAMT's 36th Annual Festival of New Musicals in October 2024.
